Be #PopCultureApproved in RIPT’s Summer Lookbook
This summer, RIPT wants you to make a mark on pop culture by showcasing your unique style in our RIPT designs. Everyone should be able to express their own opinion when it comes to what’s ‘allowed’ in society. We want you to be the judge of what’s #PopCultureApproved in this ever-changing world of pop culture. Lucky for us, eight lovely models from our recent photo shoot shared their thoughts regarding tee selection, personal style, pop culture media go-to’s, and reflections on our summer motto #PopCultureApproved. Check out our models’ bios and responses so you, too, can be #PopCultureApproved with RIPT’s Summer Lookbook.
Jason – Bearded Badass
Born and raised in the south side of Chicago, Jason, 39 years old, is a father, heavy equipment operator, and new model on the scene. Based on his shirt and his interview, he most definitely cannot live without his go-to TV series, Archer.
Renee – Pop Culture Prep
Although Renee has not achieved Gotham City detective status yet, she is a soon-to-be college graduate! She takes on a comfortable, casual, and cordial approach in her style, but can easily throw on a blazer to dress up any look.
“For me, #PopCultureApproved can connect you with other people without sacrificing who you are.”
Aubrey – Fit & Friendly
Flaunting his passion for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Aubrey is a strong, goofy, and hardworking father, model, and nerd. In terms of style, “If what I wear shows you who I am without having to speak it, and it’s honest in that way, then that’s what I want my style to say.”
Noel – Girly Edge
Noel is a dedicated DePaul student studying Accounting and Finance. She binge-watches Pretty Little Liars on Netflix constantly and has a prevailing passion for dogs.
Mark – Classic in Casual
Fresh out of seeing the new Civil War movie, Mark wears his Capsicles RIPT tee with some serious superhero pride. Although he likes to stick with the staples, Mark believes in making a statement with every tee shirt design.
Rishik – Urban Swank
California-bred Rishik loves living in the city of Chicago, the humanistic qualities in Batman, and his Super Hero 6 RIPT tee. Rishik flaunts his personal skater-streetwise style to stay true to his Cali roots.
Corrinne – High-spirited Vintage
Corrinne is a bubbly full-time model/actress who can be found singing the Ren & Stimpy theme song, rocking her vintage/edgy look, and referring to her beloved Deadpool as being the sarcastic-butthole gangster of all superheroes. In her eyes, #PopCultureApproved is the restoration of old trends.
Josh – The Shy Superhero
Josh, a 31 year old full-time special education teacher, spends his free time watching Game of Thrones and Walking Dead. In terms of his Ant-man tee design, Josh admits, “I view myself as small in this world, but small people make a difference no matter their size.”
