Who would win between DC Comics current TV superheroes? Green Arrow, Supergirl, or Flash?!
We decided to put together a hypothetical scenario. Walk with us as we take you through what our thoughts are and be sure to let us know how you feel about it.
An unknown deity with massive cosmic power has captured the three greatest superheroes ever to appear on basic cable. Only one can be declared victorious by vanquishing their superhero counterparts.
This is a fight between the TELEVISION versions that are based on the comic characters. The powers detailed are representations of the TV characters only.
The Flash: Barry Allen makes getting hit by lightning cool. Allen became the Flash after being struck by dark-matter lightning and was connected to a mysterious energy called the Speed Force. The electricity and chemicals that showered over Barry supercharged his cells to give him superhuman speed, endurance and reflexes. While Barry’s original top speed was 200 mph, he’s currently able to run consistently at Mach 2.
Key Special Abilities
Vibrating Molecules: One of Barry’s unique abilities that he can vibrate every part of his body. Every. Single. Piece. Barry has even learned to vibrate his molecules to the same frequency as air.
Speed Vacuum: The Flash can create wind vortices by running around an individual in a circle, suffocating them. He can even rotate his arms at super speed, creating small tornadoes that can drive back enemies.
Green Arrow: Spending five years in hell marooned on an island has transformed Bruce Wayne-wannabe and billionaire playboy Oliver Queen into the newly minted “Green” Arrow. Queen’s extended vacaation on the island forced him to become a master in archery, in order to survive.
Key Special Abilities
Trick Arrows: His arrows include explosive, double, rope-tying bola and the infamous boxing glove arrow. The only arrow that could effect Supergirl or Flash would be the nanite-arrow, which that was able to slow Flash and Reverse-Flash’s speed temporarily.
League of Assassins Training: Oliver spent considerable time with the League of Assassins infiltrating their leader, Ra’s Al Ghul. There he received relentless training in the art of assassination which includes hand-to-hand combat, stealth, pain tolerance and the will to survive against all odds.
Supergirl: If you thought Kal-El had it bad growing up, his cousin, Kara Zor-El, had it much worse. She watched Krypton exploded at thirteen and then was lost in the Phantom Zone for 24 years before arriving on Earth. While Kara has limited experience fighting crime, she does make up for it in raw power. Like her Kryptonian cousin, her cells have the ability to absorb yellow solar radiation, which grants her super strength, senses and impenetrable skin. Due to Krypton’s gravity being much denser than Earth’s, Supergirl can control her own gravity field and propel herself through the air to fly. She is capable of breaking the sound barrier.
Key Special Abilities
Heat Vision: Kara is able to release the stored solar energy through her eyes in concentrated blasts. Her eyes light up bright orange when she’s angry and looks badass. She recently warmed up her family’s turkey on Thanksgiving, demonstrating she can control the intensity of her beams.
ROUND 1: Supergirl levitates into the air | Flash drops into a running stance | Green Arrow nocks back an explosive arrow
Green Arrow probably wouldn’t last longer than ten minutes against these two super powered heavy hitters. He did put up a fight against the Flash in the Flash v Arrow crossover and was even able to catch Barry off guard with well timed explosives. If Green Arrow did attack Supergirl, he would break his hand punching her, which is more of a nuisance than an attack.
GREEN ARROW ELIMINATED
ROUND 2: Supergirl vs Flash
Now that we have the puny human out of the way, the real superhero battle emerges. Supergirl vs Flash. Supergirl would definitely be Barry’s toughest challenge since Gorilla Grodd. Several hard blows from Supergirl would KO Flash, but she can’t hit what she can’t catch. While Supergirl is fast, she can’t move or think as quickly as Flash. Even if she did catch him, he could vibrate his molecules to become intangible and break away from her grip. While Barry’s hits on Kara would be ineffective, he could run around her at Mach 2 (top speed) to create a super tornado. Supergirl would have extreme difficulty flying out of the tornado; all the while effectively suffocating her due to lack of oxygen.
